Services & Programs FAQs

What is included in coaching?

Our coaching provides practical, real world support tailored to the pressures leaders face in dealerships and OEM organizations. Each engagement includes individualized sessions focused on your goals, support on the challenges you’re navigating, and tools to strengthen communication, decision making, and team alignment.

Leaders often see outcomes such as:

  • Improved parts and service coordination, reducing bottlenecks and increasing absorption.
  • Clearer technician, parts, or sales team expectations, leading to more consistent performance and accountability.
  • Better customer communication and conflict resolution, especially around backorders, uptime issues, or field service demands.
  • Stronger alignment between dealership locations, district managers, or branch leaders.
  • More effective dealer–OEM collaboration, including clearer messaging, improved program adoption, and stronger trust across both sides.
  • Greater confidence in leading cross department initiatives, such as warranty process improvements, sales–service handoff, or aftermarket growth plans.

Every coaching engagement is designed to help leaders build confidence, strengthen their teams, and make better day-to-day decisions that directly impact dealership or dealer network performance.

How are consulting engagements structured?
Our consulting engagements are designed to be clear, collaborative and tailored to your dealership or OEM team. Every session begins with a short discovery conversation to understand your goals, challenges, and timelines. From there, we build a customized plan that outlines the scope, priorities, and expected outcomes. You’ll receive a proposal within two business days, and once aligned, we work alongside your team—providing practical guidance, real world solutions, and ongoing support to ensure the work creates meaningful, lasting impact.
How do virtual courses work?

Our virtual courses are delivered live in an interactive, instructor-led format—giving your team real-time coaching, discussion, and practical application without leaving the dealership. Sessions are hosted through Microsoft Teams and follow a consistent weekly structure that makes it easy for participants to stay engaged and apply what they’re learning.

Each course typically includes:

  • Live weekly sessions with guided teaching, discussion, and real dealership examples.
  • Interactive exercises and breakout conversations so participants can practice skills and share challenges with peers.
  • Tools, templates, or action steps to apply immediately in their department—whether parts, service, sales, or leadership.
  • A supportive cohort environment, allowing participants to learn from leaders at other dealerships and OEMs.
  • Recordings or followup materials when appropriate, ensuring no one falls behind.

Virtual delivery makes it easy for multi-location dealerships, busy managers, or OEM teams to participate—while still creating a hands-on, practical learning experience that mirrors the impact of in-person training.

Can courses be delivered privately to our dealership?

Yes. Any of our courses can be delivered privately to your dealership. Private sessions allow us to tailor the content to your departments, your processes, and the specific challenges your team is facing—whether that’s parts performance, service efficiency, sales development, or leadership alignment. Private delivery also makes it easier for multiple locations or teams to participate together, creating shared language, stronger team cohesion, and faster application of what they learn.

Is coaching for individuals or can it be for a group?

We offer both individual and group coaching.

  • Individual coaching offers a confidential and structured environment where individuals learn more about their competencies, see how they’re perceived by others, and focus on identifying and clarifying current goals as well as the appropriate action steps to reach those goals.
  • Team coaching is designed to support teams in accomplishing their goals while creating a sustainable environment that cultivates long-term excellence and success.

Working with Us

How long does it take to receive a proposal?
We recognize how quickly things move. Upon receiving a request, our typical turnaround time is two business days. If you’re on a time constraint and need something even faster, please let us know; and we will work with you to meet your timeline needs.
I’ve already taken a DISC Assessment, but would like more information about what my results mean. Can I schedule a debrief with Harvesting Potential?

Yes! We are happy to provide debrief meetings to walk through your DISC results and how you can apply them in your job. It is important to note that not all DISC assessments are created equally. While there are some free versions of the assessment out there, the most detailed and beneficial results are going to come from the official, full-length assessment which is what Harvesting Potential offers. If you’d like to learn more about our DISC offerings, check out this page.

What information do you need before we start?

The information we need before we start depends on the type of service you’re looking for. When it comes to coaching and consulting, it’s helpful for us to learn a bit more about your business, team, locations, any challenges you’re facing, goals you have and what, if anything, you’ve tried in the past. This helps us build a proposal that is tailored to your needs and helps meet your goals. You can be confident we treat your information with the strictest confidentiality, whether you decide to work with us or not. From form submission to phone call, we treat all prospect and client information as strictly confidential.

What is your learning philosophy?

Our learning philosophy is built around these core principles:

1. Relevance First

Every concept is tied directly to real-world challenges in the heavy equipment industry.

Participants learn what drives performance, profitability, and team effectiveness — and how to influence those outcomes immediately.

Our content isn’t abstract; it’s designed for leaders and teams who want results they can see and measure.

2. Active Participation

Our sessions are highly interactive, combining discussion, reflection, and hands-on exercises.

Participants work with their own experiences and data to identify improvement opportunities and apply tools during and between sessions.

They don’t just listen, they engage, practice, and take ownership of their growth.

3. Progressive Skill Building

Each session builds on the last, helping participants move from understanding key concepts to applying them confidently in their daily work.

Skills develop progressively through a balance of learning, reflection, and practice, ensuring real capability, not one-time awareness.

4. Accountability and Practice

Learning only matters when it changes behavior.

That’s why every session ends with clear, practical action steps to implement immediately.

Each subsequent session begins with a review of those actions, reinforcing accountability, ownership, and progress over time.

5. Peer Learning and Collaboration

We believe the best learning happens in conversation — not in isolation.

Participants learn from each other through discussion, shared challenges, and collaboration.

This peer exchange builds stronger networks and fosters a culture of continuous improvement that extends beyond the course itself.

6. Sustainability of Results

Our programs are designed for long-term impact, not short-term inspiration.

Each course concludes with an action plan or performance roadmap tailored to the participant’s role or team.

This ensures that new habits, insights, and leadership practices continue to drive measurable results long after the training ends.

At Harvesting Potential, we don’t deliver “training.” We deliver learning experiences that transform performance.

By combining relevance, reflection, and accountability, our programs help people and organizations achieve lasting results, cultivating the full potential within every leader and every team.
